Winooski River Sojourn - Each June, Friends of the Winooski River hosts the Winooski River Sojourn - a six day paddling trip down the length of the Winooski River. Part fundraiser and part awareness raiser, the Sojourn serves as an opportunity to introduce Vermonters to the Winooski River while paddling down it. Taste of Stowe Arts Festival - The Art and Craft Tent is a veritable cathedral of creativity. Come on out and see the extraordinary items our artists have for you. Washington County Fair & Field Days Montpelier - The Vermont State Fair is an annual state fair in Rutland, Vermont in September, at the State Fairgrounds. For many years, the fair has contained a restaurant which remains open during warmer months, many other food selections, numerous midway rides, entertainment shows, a petting zoo, and agricultural exhibits.
