Located within the magnificent Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, the Escalante River winds its way through massive walls of white rock, slowly carving the stark and beautiful Canyons of the Escalante. If you're not a hiker, the drive along Highway 12 is incredible. The Canyons of the Escalante drop drastically to either side of this breathtaking road as it winds its way along the spine of the slickrock hills.
