January 20 - 22 - WINTERFEST, Seeley Lake - Come and experience WINTERFEST in Seeley Lake. The celebration of winter in Seeley Lake has been taking place for nearly 30 years under several names, beginning with Yamahfest. Today, as a more diverse event, we encourage you to come and participate in the varied activities: Torchlight parade, bonfire, snowsculpting, dessertfest, chili contest, biathlon, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, fishing, and more. June 16 - Powell County Territorial Day, Deer Lodge - Powell County Territorial Day, a community celebration, consists of a foot race event 3K, 5K, 8K, 10K, sponsored by the Powell County Chamber of Commerce; Classic Car Show (Old Montana Prison Rod Run) on Main Street; a parade with cars, floats, cowboys on horses, horse drawn wagons, shrine band and novelty vehicles; Jaywalkers Jamboree with concessions, craft vendors, and children's games. 406-846-2094 (10320)

July 3 - 4 - Milk River Days and Cowboys Rodeo, Hinsdale - The celebration begins with a rodeo and free street dance in downtown Hinsdale on July 3rd. On the 4th is a parade at 11:00 am followed by kids' games, horseshoe, ping pong drop, beef barbecue and free fireworks at dusk. Other activities include fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike and Catfish, water skiing and boating over a 13 mile area, quick draw pistol shoot and cannon shoot. July 12 - 15 - North American Indian Days, Browning - Immerse yourself in Native culture at one of the largest Blackfeet tribal events, with traditional drumming and dancing and the annual Miss Blackfeet pageant. 406-338-4388 (10324)

July 13 - 15 - Montana Folk Festival, Butte - The Festival will continue to feature multiple stages with continuous live performances by some of the best traditional musical performers in the nation, including Montana's finest, some of the region's best traditional artists, great ethnic and festival foods, a lively Family Area, and Folklife demonstrations and workshops that focus on a theme that highlights Montana's heritage. July 27- August 4 - Montana State Fair, Great Falls - The 2012 Montana State Fair will be celebrating its 81st anniversary with another summer full of fun and entertainment. August 3- 5 - Sweet Pea Festival, Bozeman - The Sweet Pea Festival is a three-day festival of the arts held in Bozeman, Montana. The fun in Lindley Park starts Friday afternoon and continues all day Saturday and until 7:00 pm on Sunday. September 8 - Chokecherry Festival, Lewistown - Growing in popularity each year, the Chokecherry festival is attended by close to 5,000 people. October 4 - 7 - 19th Annual Glacier Jazz Stampede, Kalispell - The Annual Glacier Jazz Stampede promises to be a weekend to remember for the Flathead Valley Jazz enthusiasts and the 'new' fans that come on board from outside the area.
