Mall of America - Minneapolis may be best known for the Mall of America, an enormous 4.2 million square-foot mall complete with an indoor amusement park. Camp Snoopy, as the park is known has a roller coaster, Ferris wheel and a long floor ride with a 40-foot drop.

Minneapolis Institute of Arts - The Minneapolis Institute of Arts houses more than 80,000 objects from diverse cultural traditions spanning 5,000 years of world history. The museum's free general-admission policy, public programs, classes for children and adults, and award-winning interactive media programs have helped to broaden and deepen this museum's roots in the communities it serves.

Chain of Lakes - Enjoy lakeside paths for exercise and relaxation, Canoe for nearly two miles from Lake Calhoun to Brownie Lake, Search for the marker at the site of the area's first schoolhouse or Cloudman's village. Step back 50 years in time and ride the Como-Harriet Streetcar Line, Listen to live music at the Lake Harriet Bandshell. Visit the Bird Sanctuary, Rose Gardens and Peace Gardens near Lake Harriet.

Twin Cities Marathon - The 26.2 mile course begins near the HHH Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis, and finishes at the State Capitol in St. Paul. The course is flat to rolling, mostly asphalt and very scenic with mile after mile of parkways, lakes, rivers and tree-lined boulevards. Over 250,000 spectators make the marathon a treat to experience!

Loring Park Art Festival - The Festival consists of 140 visual artists displaying their original work in 12x12 booths, strolling musicians, scheduled stage performances, children's activities and food booths. The art work presented will be from a variety of media including painting, photography, printmaking, handmade paper, wood, jewelry, clay, sculpture, fiber, mixed media and glass.

Holidazzle Parade - Once again it's time to bundle up the kids, pick up the grandparents and head to the Target Holidazzle Parade. Every year since 1992, when the first parade marched down Nicollet Mall, over 300,000 spectators converge on downtown Minneapolis to join the sparkling fun.
